But how many design and architecture brands in the industry truly embody this meaningful and creative philosophy? Cosentino exemplifies it, and the second edition of its limited-edition furniture and home accessories Capsule Collection — brought to life by Dubai-based bespoke furniture craftsmen Cherwell — is the ultimate proof.

Pioneering designers Nadine Kanso, Omar Nakkash, Rabah Saeid, Omar Al Gurg and Thomas Trad have joined forces with the brand to offer the world a boundary-pushing collection under the theme Dare to Play. Each piece from the collection – be it a floor lamp, a bench, an office desk, or a dinnerware carrier – is a representation of its respective artist, showcasing the artistic identity of its creator.

Innovative and sustainable are a few words to describe the limited-edition line, which has harnessed the versatile power of Dekton Slim Protek – a revolutionary 4mm carbon neutral, ultra-compact and mesh reinforced stone – to present eclectic masterpieces that tell timeless stories about the art of modern living.
The modular assortment of multi-purpose furniture by Rabah Saeid represents the pinnacle of versatility. Inviting you to playfully reconfigure its pieces in such a way that expresses your unique identity, this masterpiece’s parts hold the power to form tables, stools, or even pedestals.
This beautiful bench embodies Omar Nakkash’s Palestinian roots. Expressing a profound respect for his country’s traditional art of tatreez or embroidery, the Founder and Design Director’s meaningful yet functional work of art features motifs of olive branches.
Nadine Kanso, Founder of contemporary jewellery brand Bil Arabi, has designed an innovative floor lamp reflecting her own artistic identity. Evocative of a blinking lid as it turns on and off, the lamp draws inspiration from the Evil Eye concept in the Arab culture, omnipresent throughout her in-demand Ya Ein jewellery collection.
The functional dinnerware carrier by Omar Al Gurg was designed with smaller homes in mind, but it can optimise any space of any size. “Having a meal together is the most sentimental activity that binds us as humans. “Dinna” pays tribute to this need while also being a product that is true to our contemporary lives in cities where both time and space are scarce,” shares Omar.
An ode to minimalism, functionality, and creativity, the Beirut-based creator’s innovative piece creates the illusion of a levitating office desk. Like all of Thomas Trad’s inventions, the desktop pushes the boundaries of traditional furniture.
Cosentino’s Capsule Collection is composed of five eclectic pieces, which translate the artistic DNA of their respective creators and showcase the versatility of the Dekton Skim Protek material. The bi-annual initiative represents Cosentino’s commitment to nurturing emerging designers’ creativity in the region and beyond for generations to come.
