Kurulu Bay is an eco-resort that makes the most of its surroundings, which include a bird sanctuary and a vast expanse of dense lakeside forest. And it’s a hotel of some artistic distinction as well, built as it is around the Kurulu House, a residence built by the highly regarded local architect Channa Daswatte.
Redefining the conventional hotel stay through modest luxury and conscientious hospitality.
Hotel is a health and wellness oriented hotel surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views over the lake. A luxurious but relaxed retreat offering modest luxury and conscientious hospitality, evoking a sense of tranquility and serenity. 14 suites & cottages blend into the surrounding landscape, nestling into the terrain. Next to offering private and group yoga classes in a scenic shala overlooking Koggala Lake, Kurulu Bay hosts a Spa and retreats program that blends Eastern Wellness and Western Science, by the best therapists from around the world.
The spa combines Eastern and Western therapies, and yoga classes are taught in an elevated, open-walled space surrounded by the canopies of frangipani trees. And the Kitchen, similarly open to the breeze, serves three meals a day with views of the lake and a menu inspired by a “sea-to-table” philosophy.
