Press Cafè

Press reimagines a long-standing local coffee spot in Fujairah, blending nostalgia with contemporary warmth. The project creates a space where visitors can immerse themselves in a layered environment that feels both familiar and refreshed.

The design enhances functionality and circulation while preserving the café’s welcoming identity, introducing subtle retro touches that nod to its context.

A warm material palette reinforces the spatial clarity, bringing together sand toned plaster walls, neo expressionist porcelain flooring, and burgundy tile accents to introduce rhythm and gentle movement throughout the space.

Retro references continue through rustic brown leather and rounded furniture forms, while soft artificial lighting enhances both open areas and more intimate corners. Lightbox signage inspired by classic diner typologies, along with carefully curated vintage objects, adds character and cultural depth, grounding the space in memory while maintaining a contemporary sensibility.

Design was made by IDST Studio. We design with care and clarity. Every space begins with a foundation – woven thoughtfully through materials, mood, and memory. Intention is our foundation.

Our work is shaped by experience – both lived and learned. Years of practice, travel, and discovery inform the way we see and shape the world. We find inspiration everywhere, and translate it into spaces that resonate.
